What is Sonderism?

SONDERISM is located in the coldest parts of northern Sweden. We are artists, creators and visionary people that have different types of artisan expressions. Some paint, some furnish, some play music and others do crazy cool wood work. From here we monitor the World Wide Web and Scandinavia most hidden thrift shops. From icy roads in cold winter to bicycling on a midsummer night we are always going somewhere. Sometimes we stumble upon stuff we like, or stuff we think that others might like. Then we buy all of it. Our barns, igloos and houses are filled with wonderful stuff and this web shop is about things that we love. Every item has a story. Well, some stuff we bought in regular stores as well, but they all carry a story that will live on forever no matter where in the world it decides to leave it's hat and call home...

The meaning of Sonderism

n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.
